We began working with Littleton Brewing early in their planning stages, as they wanted to get branding in place to start applying to the brewery they were building. Recognizing that plenty of local breweries were positioning themselves as active/outdoor brands, Littleton wanted to do something different. We instead created a brand that leveraged the site’s history as an auto shop along what is known locally as the “Mid-Mod Mile.” Further drawing from local history, we pulled the brand’s “Rough & Ready” slogan from the name of a flour mill once opened by the city’s founder and paired it with an appropriately prickly mascot, Action Jack.
