Heidelberg Beer has a rich history dating back to 1912 when it was first born at the original Columbia Brewery in Tacoma, Washington. In 1936, it became the first beer to be canned in the Pacific Northwest. Known for its slow brewed flavor, velvety smoothness, and zestful tang, Heidelberg remained a regional favorite for decades until Columbia closed its doors in 1979.
In 2021, 7 Seas Brewing resurrected Heidelberg for a new generation to enjoy. Now brewing out of the original Heidelberg brewery, 7 Seas was the first craft brewery in Washington to can their beer. They were the natural fit to bring back the Heidelberg brand.
Knowing the brand launch would involve much more than a can design. A full set of brand assets were built out for application across merchandise, POS and print/digital campaigns.
