We began working with Field Day Brewing Company early in their planning stages, as they were developing their plans to bring plenty of fun, games and tasty beer to an area with a suprisingly low number of breweries.
The meaning behind the name is twofold: (1) embracing the large agricultural presence in Iowa and (2) the fun of outdoor games and activities (which they plan on having plenty of at the taproom).
We created custom type and a color palette to match the fun energy the brand is bringing to the local beer scene. A hawk was introduced as a nod to their location in the Hawkeye State, and is a mascot that would be right at home out in the field. Additional hawk graphics give more flexibility for application needs, especially on march and within the taproom design.
